You may wonder why Option Pit would allow a blogger to introduce a site that not only markets Option Pit, but other mentoring services as well. It is simple we know that head to head there is not a single service out there that can hold a candle to the content we provide to our students. We are more in-depth, more intensive, and more advanced than any of our competitors, at a about 50% of the cost. Mike is a good guy trying to help people navigate the option universe and because Option Pit knows how good we are, we are happy to help a site that will fairly evaluate the programs. Enjoy!
Options’ trading is my passion and finding consistent success and improvement is my goal. Like most others, I have spent and wasted money in weekend seminars that could have been better used in my trading account. Not that all of these seminars are bad or a waste. However, knowing what I know today, there is plenty of solid educational material on the web that is free and plenty of good books. I believe it is critical to have a solid foundation and understanding of options, before spending any money on education. It is the only way to prepare yourself to absorb the material that is presented. Once you have a solid foundation, and have put on many trades, finding some success and failure, I believe the next step is finding a good trading mentor to get you to the next level on your road to success.
However, how do you navigate the multitude of sites and providers to find good material? Google is not only bad at this; it can make things more confusing. So that is why I founded SeriousOptions. Through SeriousOptions, I hope to provide you a method to find the best free options content available - mainly webinars and articles. Through our calendar, you can see what webinars are coming for the day, week, or month. Content is options only, until it isn't :), and provided by those I consider who are customer focused. You will find content from both brokers and mentors. Not all of the providers that you are familiar with are included. We are picky and focused on content, not marketing.
Starting in August, we hope to offer our own webinars, showcasing the mentors themselves. We plan to have in-depth interviews with the mentors so you can see exactly what they are providing and details that you might not see on their sites. We want to help facilitate the learning process by providing a level of access to these providers in a format that has not been done before. Mentors will help you improve your skills, see things from a professional's perspective and build the areas of your education that might have held you back. Most import though is walking away with a trading plan that includes a defined set of rules for a defined set of strategies you will be trading. They will also help you define your asset allocation to each strategy based on your trading account. Mark Sebastian of Option Pit will be one of our first interviews.
We are here for you, the aspiring options trader and welcome your input and suggestions. I hope you find your way to our site and hope it helps you find the education you are looking for! Of all the things I have learned, the most important has been that I am doing this for the long run. Options’ trading takes time to learn, at least a year on a part time basis. Webinars and coaches can only teach you so much. The market is the ultimate teacher. Learning how to react to what it throws at you only comes with time, hard work and practice.
Don't forget to check out the AM Pit Report every day at 9:50 AM EDT it is free and full of useful information. Have a great weekend!
